Do you wanna see inverse Mt. fuji in Lake kawaguchi, Kawaguchiko?
Ubuya misaki (Ubuya cape) is very famous place to see Mt. Fuji and Inverse Fuji “Sakasa Mt. Fuji”.
It can be seen here in the early morning.
How to go from Kawaguchiko station
It’s about 2.7 kilometers from Kawaguchiko Station to Ubuyamisaki.
It might seem walkable, but I wouldn’t recommend it except in spring.
It’s really hot and there aren’t many places to get drinks or find cafes. Taking a bus, taxi, or renting a car is a better idea.
Bus
You can take on the city bus from Kawaguchiko station to Ubuya by 15-20 minutes.
But It’s very crowded and not comfortable.. (see the photo below.)
Taxi or Chauffeur service
If there’s a taxi waiting at the stand, you can hop right in, but usually, there aren’t enough taxis around.
That’s why locals often book or call for one. Once you get a taxi, it takes about 7 minutes and costs around 1,000-1,500 JPY, which is better than taking the bus.
